Share your views on women’s safety in Camden
Camden Council has launched its latest Women’s Safety Survey, encouraging women and girls to share their experiences and help shape council action to improve safety in the borough.
Building on surveys conducted in 2022 and 2024, the council wants to hear the experiences of women and girls to understand how safe they feel living, working, and travelling in Camden.
It’s part of the council’s continued commitment to tackling violence against women and girls and taking action to help them feel safer.
Findings from previous surveys have helped us identify concerns and take local approaches to improving safety. This includes:
- A 40% increase in late-night community reassurance patrols
- Conducting more safety walkabouts – for women and girls to identify issues with the council and police
- Introducing free bystander training for residents and organisations
- Opening more Safe Havens across the borough – providing safe spaces for women and girls to access support
Visit our webpage to find out more and complete the survey, which is open until Friday 4 December 2026.
We want Camden to be a safe place for everyone, but sadly, we know too many women and girls don’t feel safe when they’re out and about on our streets.
Since our last surveys, we’ve taken significant steps to improve safety and tackle violence and harassment against women – but we know there is much more to be done.
Women’s voices are at the heart of everything we do, and we want to hear your views on what matters, and what we can do alongside our partners to help you feel safer. Meanwhile, we continue our commitment to tackling perpetrators and preventing violence against women and girls at its root cause.
