Summer of learning and fun ends with film screenings

Camden Summer University students have been having fun and learning about drama, dance, photography, printing, art and film-making at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the British Museum, Central Saint Martins art college and other venues across the borough.

Many of these fantastic free courses were accredited, so young people aged 13 to 19 now have something to put on their CVs for job, university or apprenticeship applications. Courses began last month and ended on Friday (26 August), with screenings of films made during the programme, including a hard-hitting documentary about the refugee crisis and a witty take on the British Museum's Sunken Cities exhibition.

Camden Summer University is run by the Council’s youth service with a range of local partners and experienced tutors, some of whom are national leaders in their field.
