Up to £3000 available when you recruit an apprentice

Between January and June 2015, London-based employers of 249 staff or fewer may be able to access a grant of £3000, provided they have not recruited an apprentice in the previous 12 months. Employers can access grants for up to five new apprentices to help with salary costs.

Camden Council’s apprenticeship team strongly encourage employers to get in touch and find out how they can benefit from this grant. Our free recruitment service supports employers to develop an apprenticeship vacancy, identify training, source candidates and then recruit the best Camden young person for the role. Having recruited over 400 apprentices on behalf of businesses over the past four years, the team are well placed to offer expert advice, making the process simple and free from bureaucracy.

Camden is one of the most diverse places in the capital. Home to 26,000 businesses and 300,000 jobs, we have the potential to offer a wealth of opportunity to the next generation. Apprenticeships are a cost-effective way to tackle skills shortages, helping organisations across all industries to harness fresh talent whilst offering an excellent entry level route for young people to get on the career ladder. In last year’s survey, 92% of employers rated their experience of recruiting an apprentice as good or excellent.

Why not make the most of our bespoke recruitment service? It’s free and easy to use, enabling businesses to shape their future workforce in a way which benefits everyone.
