Take part in Camden in Bloom 2023
This year’s Camden in Bloom, the council’s popular gardening competition, is now open for entries.
Camden in Bloom 2023 is open for entries and aims to celebrate the best gardens in the borough and encourage residents, businesses and community groups to create a cleaner and greener Camden.

Camden in Bloom is a fantastic competition which brings together residents, businesses and communities to celebrate the borough’s best outdoor spaces.
We have so many wonderful green spaces and gardens in Camden, and it’s great to see so many of our residents take time to improve them. Through this competition we hope to recognise this work as well as encourage residents, businesses and community groups to create an even greener and more sustainable place to live.
This is also a special year as Camden Garden Centre, who have supported Camden in Bloom since it first started, are celebrating 40 years since opening and I’d like to congratulate and thank them for their ongoing support.
There are three separate categories in this year’s competition:
- Best Community Garden for communities who have grown plants and vegetables in a shared garden or on a street.
- Camden Young Gardener for children aged 10 and under.
- Best Mini Garden for gardeners who have created amazing green displays in limited spaces, including front gardens, hanging baskets, window boxes or on balconies.
The competition deadline is Thursday 31 August and the winners will be announced in September.
This year's competition is sponsored by idverde, Veolia, and Camden Garden Centre.
The Camden Garden Centre has been a generous supporter of Camden in Bloom since the competition started over 15 years ago. Over the years they have helped with judging entries, providing prizes for the winners, and championing the competition which aims to celebrate those gardens in Camden which make the borough more vibrant and eco-friendlier.
