Shortlist announced for the Camden Design Awards 2022

Camden has built a reputation for championing and delivering high quality design. This is recognised in the Camden Design Awards which return for the first time since 2017.

They celebrate and reward the excellent design that is being delivered in projects across all sectors of the built environment in Camden. This year 56 projects have been shortlisted which showcase the breadth and talents of architects and designers working in Camden.

Councillor Danny Beales, Cabinet Member for New Homes, Jobs and Community Investment

“I am delighted that after a five-year absence the Camden Design Awards are returning this year.

“These prestigious and highly coveted awards recognise projects of the highest design quality that can enrich the lives of the people who live and work in Camden.

“This can include projects across all sectors of the built environment and at all scales – from housing to small rear extensions, offices to community and education buildings, new or improved public spaces, retrofitting of historic buildings, or even an exemplar approach to community engagement.

“This year we received a large variety of entries of exceptionally high-quality schemes across Camden. Although a difficult decision, we are pleased to announce a shortlist of 56 outstanding projects.”

Winning projects across two categories will be announced later this month and all shortlisted entries invited to an awards event on 28 June 2022.
