New funding available for local Voluntary and Community Sector organisations
Camden Council has launched a new half a million-pound Resilience Fund to support Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations in the borough.
A new Resilience Fund has been in launched in Camden to help local VCS organisations address any short-term risks they may be experiencing and to allow them to make changes that will help sustain their organisation and thrive in the future.
Grants can be used for a variety of initiatives, including recruitment, business planning, balancing budgets and staff training, to help support organisations to be sustainable.
The fund is open to not-for-profit organisations in Camden, including community groups, registered charities and social enterprises, who can demonstrate a track record in supporting local communities.
This year’s total grant pot is £500,000, with grants being awarded to successful organisations between £6,000 and £30,000.
Our local Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) play a critical role in supporting our residents, tackling some of the most pressing issues we’ve faced over the years – from the pandemic and now with the cost-of-living crisis.
A strong, well run and independent VCS that responds to our residents’ needs, is central to our ambitions for Camden, and we hope that through this new fund we can help Camden’s VCS to be as sustainable as possible, so they can continue to carry out their vital work and make a lasting difference for our communities.
The Resilience Fund is part of a series of programmes within Camden’s annual £4million VCS Investment Programme, designed to support Camden’s VCS to be sustainable and resilient in a rapidly changing, and increasingly challenging environment.
