New fund launched for Camden’s voluntary sector organisations

Camden Council has launched a new fund with grants of up to £100k available to support the borough’s voluntary sector organisations.

The Council is committed to supporting voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations to carry out their vital work in helping the borough’s communities.

As part of this work, the Council has launched a ‘Community Partner Fund’ to support VCS organisations based in Camden.

The fund will provide seven year grants to VCS organisations who can demonstrate that they are strongly rooted in Camden and deliver for their communities.

Councillor Nadia Shah, Cabinet Member for Voluntary Sector, Equalities and Cohesion

I’m delighted to be announcing the launch of the Community Partner Fund – a seven-year investment in those organisations who make up the fabric of our community. It’s been an incredibly difficult time for many of communities, and our borough’s Voluntary and Community Sector colleagues are key partners in helping us deliver essential support for those who need it.

That’s why as a borough we are committed to doing everything we can to support VCS organisations who play a vital role in tackling the issues we face as a borough, including the cost-of-living crisis and tackling inequalities, and through this fund we hope to support VCS organisations to continue their vital work to support Camden’s communities now and in the years to come.

Councillor Nadia Shah, Cabinet Member for Voluntary Sector, Equalities and Cohesion

Community Partners play a key role in working with communities to address the social challenges facing the borough from tackling social isolation, through to the cost-of-living crisis and tackling inequality.

This fund is open to not-for-profit organisations in Camden who are deeply rooted in their communities and can demonstrate the key role they play in addressing and responding to community needs.

A commitment of up to seven years of funding has been made by Camden Council for VCS organisations to help them continue to support communities in the borough.

Grants of between £10,000 and £100,000 are available, depending on the size of the organisation and level of impact.

VCS organisations will need to complete an Expression of Interest form by 12 noon on Wednesday 20 September 2023.

The Community Partner Fund is the first of a series of new funding that will launch between now and summer 2024. Announcements about each new fund will be made on our website. To keep up to date please sign up to our VCS newsletter.
