London Youth Games trials

We’re holding trials around the borough for promising young athletes to compete for Camden in this year’s London Youth Games.

We’re still looking for young people to represent us in a range of sports including hockey, water polo, handball and volleyball.

The trials take place across March and April and there will opportunities to take part in training sessions leading up to London Youth Games competitions between April and June.

This year we’ve already had successes to celebrate. On Sunday 1 March, our borough boys’ cricket team made it to Lord’s Cricket Ground for the London Youth Games finals for the second time. The team, all in Year 8 or below, topped their group in qualifiers in January.

Last year we won an impressive 11 medals at the ParaGames athletics finals and overall the team moved up five places from 2013 to 22nd. The achievements of our young people so far are promising for this year’s Camden team placing.
