HS2: Proposal to get National Temperance Hospital into use

We’ve written in in support of Camden Town Unlimited’s proposal for the National Temperance Hospital on Hampstead Road to be temporarily used as an office hub and pop up retail space for creative businesses.

Camden Town Unlimited represents the local business community to improve Camden Town as a place to work, live and visit.

The National Temperance Hospital has been vacant for many years and is earmarked for demolition to make way for HS2, if the scheme goes ahead.

We have written to HS2 Ltd. in support of Camden Town Unlimited’s proposal, as it corresponds with our objectives to bring the blighted building into use whilst providing much needed affordable workspace, training and employment opportunities.

You can read our letter to HS2 Ltd. in full.

More information

Camden Council opposes plans for HS2 as currently proposed. If the government does go ahead with the scheme, Camden is committed to securing the best deal for our communities. Find out more here.
