Have your say on the future of arts and culture in Camden
Residents are invited to have their say on a new consultation that has launched to help grow the arts and culture sector in Camden.
A new Culture Strategy 2025-2030 is being created to help grow the borough’s arts and culture sector as well as ensure more people get involved with Camden’s growing culture programme in the years to come.
Through this plan, which is the first of its kind and set to be published next year, the council is aiming to unlock more culture and creative opportunities for local people and groups, and support the borough’s culture sector and grassroot organisations to develop the next generation of creatives.
Camden’s rich diversity and culture sector is what makes the borough the truly special place that it is. Over recent years we’ve developed a culture programme which I’m very proud of – from our annual Windrush celebrations and Black History Season to Camden Pride and recognising South Asian Heritage Month – and we want to continue to build on this and do more to celebrate our diverse communities.
Through this new Culture Strategy, we hope to do even more in this space to make our culture programmes bigger and better to bring more of our communities together, as well as continue to work closely with our cultural partners to ensure Camden is a place where everyone feels a part of and can benefit from our cultural offer. I’d encourage everyone to get involved and share their ideas so we can deliver a varied and accessibly culture offering for all.
