Have your say on our licensing policy

We’re consulting on proposed changes to our licensing policy.

The licensing policy enables us to manage alcohol and public entertainment, and the effect of the night-time economy on our residents. It sets out how we expect all licensed businesses to operate when providing alcohol or events such as live music.

We want to ensure that Camden offers vibrant cultural and leisure activities, but we also need to focus on Camden Plan priorities for reducing crime and keeping the borough a safe and attractive place to live and visit.

The changes we are proposing and which we would like your feedback on are:

• updated references to changes in the law

• a proposal to extend the Seven Dials cumulative impact area

• new areas of concern such as shadow licences and hate and intolerance on licensed premises

• a range of updates to existing chapters.

The consultation is open until 28 July 2016.
