Grants of up to £2000 available for diverse community festivals in 2025-2026
Camden Council will give £35,000 worth of grants to support a diverse mix of community festivals in 2025-2026
Applications have opened for this year’s Camden Community Festival Fund, with grants available to celebrate the rich diversity and culture of the borough.
Whether a street party, cultural festival, or community gathering, this fund will bring applicants’ visions to life. Grantees will also receive a waiver of all non-statutory fees and charges, such as road closures, trading licenses, waste collections and parking suspensions relating to an event.
Last year’s beneficiaries of the grant included York Rise Street Party, Kilburn Festival, as well as Regent’s Roots.
The application process for this year’s grants has just opened (6 January 2025). Applications are welcome for any event which bring the community together, though the Council would particularly welcome applications for events which champion:
· Camden at 60, marking 60 years since the borough’s creation in 1965
· 80th anniversary of VE Day
· Community cohesion through multicultural partnerships
It is with great pride that Camden Council will be continuing its Community Festival fund. What better way to start the New Year than to announce this grant, which has the sole aim of bringing people together across the borough and celebrating the rich tapestry of Camden’s communities.
We wish the very best of luck to applicants and thank them for playing their part in bringing us together. I look forward to seeing a programme which appeals to and celebrates many communities, identities and cultures that Camden is home to.
Information on how to apply for a grant is available on the Camden website and Love Camden.
The deadline for completed applications is 23:59 on Friday 14th February 2025 and grant decisions will be emailed over by 31 March 2025.
