Early May Bank Holiday opening hours

Some of our services will be operating different opening hours over the Early May Bank Holiday on Monday 2 May.

Contact Camden

Contact Camden will be closed on the Early May Bank Holiday, Monday 2 May.

There is an out-of-hours telephone service in operation 24 hours a day for emergencies, 020 7974 4444. Normal business will resume on Tuesday 3 May from 8am to 6pm.

Rubbish and recycling

There will be no rubbish and recycling collection on Monday 2 May. Collections will take place one day later than usual for the rest of the week:

  • Monday 2 May moves to Tuesday 3 May
  • Tuesday 3 May moves to Wednesday 4 May
  • Wednesday 4 May moves to Thursday 5 May
  • Thursday 5 May moves to Friday 6 May
  • Friday 6 May moves to Saturday 7 May.

Parking

There’ll be bank holiday parking enforcement on Monday 2 May.

Libraries

All Camden libraries will be closed on Monday 2 May, reopening on Tuesday 3 May.

Our online digital library, where you can view your library account, renew your items, borrow an e-book and more, will be operating as normal.

Leisure and sports centres

Centres will operate the following opening hours on 2 May:

  • Swiss Cottage 7am to 7pm
  • Pancras Square 8am to 6pm
  • Oasis 9am to 4pm
  • Kentish Town 8am to 8pm
  • Talacre closed.

Parks and open spaces will be open as usual on Monday 2 May, with the exception of Cantelowes Skatepark which will close at 8.30pm.
