Discover more from our summer programme

With the summer in full swing there’s still plenty to discover from our superb schedule of free and low cost events.

We’ve made it easy to find something for everyone, dividing events into six ‘discover’ categories, with a diverse selection for you to explore.

If you’re looking for inspiration, arts and culture then you can Discover a new world at the Camden Archive Centre’s Humans of Holborn exhibition. This free photography exhibition is inspired by the blog and bestselling book ‘Humans of New York’ and includes work by 13-18 year olds from the local area.

Follow in the footsteps of Olympic athletes and Discover a new way to get active at one of Camden’s many leisure centres, pools and outdoor gymsor get out and about and Discover what’s on your doorstep with a weekday bootcamp session at Alexandra Road Park.

Discover a new talent and transform recyclable paper into beautiful flowers with a Project Yemanja workshop in one of our libraries, or waltz your way to a traditional tea dance and Discover a new delight, 12.30 to 4pm at the Camden Centre, 15 August, entry costs £5.

Camden Sentido

We have partnered with Camden Market to create a special series of events to celebrate the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Camden Sentido (Portuguese for ‘the senses') aims to capture the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Camden and Brazil and the feelings that connect them.

This week’s events include a family fun day at Goldington Crescent Gardens with the unveiling of a new artwork by local residents and art duo Walls on Walls, as well as Brazilian food, live music and games until 6pm; and Sensing Camden Town, a summer walking tour sure to excite all five of the senses.

Project Yemanja will also be running paper flower sessions at Goldington Crescent Gardens, so get into the summer spirit and make it one to remember.
