Council Leader statement: Fatal stabbing on Primrose Hill

On Tuesday evening (7 April), a 21-year-old man died following a stabbing incident at the Royal Park on Primrose Hill. Read the Metropolitan Police's statement.

Councillor Richard Olszewski, Leader of Camden Council, said: “It is desperately sad and tragic that this young man has died in these circumstances. All our thoughts are with his family and friends grieving his loss.

“This incident happened at a busy point in the park, and I encourage anyone who may have seen it or has information about this incident to speak to the Police or anonymously to Crimestoppers.

“I know many residents living in this area will feel shaken by what has happened. We want you to be safe and feel safe.

“We have increased our community safety patrols in the area, and they are on the ground with the Neighbourhood Police teams to provide protection, support and reassurance to both residents and people visiting Primrose Hill, for the foreseeable future. We will also be joining with our local community organisations to offer support and reassurance.”
