Camden reaches ambitious goal of creating 100 accessible employment opportunities in 100 days
Camden Council has reached a major milestone in its mission to make the borough a fairer, more inclusive place to live and work, successfully achieving its target of creating one hundred accessible employment opportunities in just one hundred days.
The Camden 100 in 100 – Pave the Way campaign brings together top employers across the borough to co-design high quality, ringfenced roles for residents facing the greatest barriers to good work. This includes care leavers, refugees and those with disabilities who are often shut out of work because the recruitment process does not meet their needs.
The Council is working with local businesses and leading institutions that are vital to the borough’s economy to offer a wide range of pathways. Through apprenticeships, internships, work experience placements, or paid roles, residents will get the opportunity to develop skills, gain valuable insight into key industries, and build long-term careers.
Organisations who have pledged include The Francis Crick Institute, UCL, Mace Dragados, HS2, Skanska Costain, Vision Hall, Unilabs, Kimpton Fitzroy, Derwent London Plc, Shaftesbury Theatre, The British Museum and KX Recruit.
In Camden, we believe everyone should have access to good, secure, well-paid work close to home. That’s why we’re linking residents who need it most with the borough’s leading institutions right on their doorstep, creating routes into key industries that offer a first step into a new career, develop valuable skills and support long-term stability and independence.
Achieving one hundred pledges in one hundred days shows the commitment of our fantastic and varied local businesses, each playing their part in building a fairer, more inclusive workforce.
Pledges were made between 3 November 2025 and 11 February 2026 and will be fulfilled over the next twelve months.
The milestone coincides with Camden Council’s annual Big Thank You event during National Apprenticeship Week, celebrating apprentices recruited through the Camden Future Talent Service. The Camden Apprenticeships Future Talent Awards 2026 recognised outstanding apprentices, managers and training providers across the borough.
