Camden marks Remembrance Day 2022

This week Camden remembers those who lost their lives due to conflict.

There will be a number of wreath-laying ceremonies and services of remembrance across the borough, starting from Thursday (10 November). The Council will also be observing the two-minute silence on Armistice Day (11 November) at 11am. A detailed timetable of events can be found below.

The Mayor of Camden, Councillor Nasim Ali OBE

During this week’s events and ceremonies we get an opportunity to pause and remember those who lost their lives in conflict as well as those who have been and continue to be affected by war.

This year we‘ve seen the terrible effects of Russia’s war in Ukraine, which continues to bring devastation to the lives of many people. This serves as a stark reminder of how fragile peace and democracy can be. I am proud of the way our borough has pulled together to offer shelter and support to refugees once again during this crisis.

I hope many people across Camden, London and the UK will join us in reflection this week and to mark the two-minute silence on Armistice Day.
