The Camden 50 celebrations continue

The Camden 50 celebrations continued yesterday with a beach party at the famous Camden beach – with residents enjoying the free event delivered in partnership with The Roundhouse.

Party-goers revelled in the celebrations which included live music, attendance by several Camden 50 resident artists and a special bake off competition – all while the sun was shining.

Yesterday’s event was one of many free or low cost events the Council is coordinating as part of the Discover your Camden Programme.

Camden’s Mayor Councillor Larraine Revah said: “The beach party was a fantastic event in an iconic Camden location, I was extremely proud to be there representing Camden, and seeing the community come together to celebrate the milestone of 50 years of the London Borough of Camden.

“It was great to see so many faces young and old enjoying the celebrations and having fun in a day that celebrated Camden’s talent, proud history and diversity.

“If you missed out on yesterday’s event there’s still plenty to look forward to as part of the Discover your Camden Summer Programme – find a full list of events at Love Camden, or at your local library”.
