August 2015 bank holiday

This bank holiday weekend, make the most of what’s available to see, do and BBQ near you.

We’re stretching out the (sometimes) sunny season with the last few days of our annual summer programme. Come along to Curious? – a two-day festival across King’s Cross in partnership with The Knowledge Quarter on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August from 11am to 5pm. Our Camden 50 artists, Ladies of the Press*, will be there to produce two demo press zines, one each day, from their mobile printing press. Other activities include workshops, talks, music and dance for all the family.

You can also catch the last weekend of the Magna Carta: Law, Liberty, Legacy exhibition at the British Library, and, if you entered your artwork at Swiss Cottage Gallery’s Open Open, there’s a private view for all participating artists from 2 to 3.30pm on 29 August. Join the Keats in Hampstead Guided Walk on Monday 31 August at 11am to explore the places that inspired his work – booking (and sturdy shoes) are highly recommended.

And if the choice of bank holiday activities works up an appetite, head to your local park and fire up the barbeque! Since our trial last year, we are pleased to invite you to enjoy a BBQ in many of our parks.
