Are you ready for recycle week?
Recycle week is now in its twelfth year and is a celebration of everything about recycling. The week runs from today (22) to 28 June and this year’s theme is ‘recycling around the home’.
To mark recycle week in Camden we’re running a Twitter competition from now until Sunday 28 June. We want you to tweet photos of you recycling around the house. Make sure that you’re following @camdentalking and tweet with the hashtag #RecycleCamden.
The prize is a £50 shopping voucher and the winner will be chosen at random and contacted on Monday 29 June 2015.
There are lots of items from around the home that you can recycle. This includes the following, which should be rinsed and any food removed before they go in the recycling bin:
- yoghurt pots
- plastic bags
- margarine tubs
- aerosol cans
- egg boxes
- juice cartons.
Would you like to talk to us about recycling? We’ll be at the summer fun days happening around Camden over the next two months, with free stuff to give away, like spaghetti measurers, food waste caddy liners and recipe cards, and lots of advice on how to recycle and reduce food waste.
If you’re interested in visiting one of the recycling process centres, or know a resident who is, email StreetEnvironment@camden.gov.uk to get booked on to a free trip.
