Applications open to businesses to apply for investment from £2m Youth Fund

Businesses that support and empower young people in Camden can apply for investment of up to £500,000 from Camden Community Wealth Fund’s £2million Youth Fund.

This is part of Camden Council’s mission to create a fairer, more inclusive local economy for young people. Businesses can apply if they deliver any of the following:

  • Diversity and inclusion initiatives – e.g. inclusive recruitment policies or anti-racism training 
  • Confidence and skills building – e.g. training, tutoring, apprenticeships or mentoring 
  • Mental health and wellbeing support – e.g. providing young people with space and community to improve their mental health and wellbeing 

A panel of 15 young people who live, work, or learn in Camden have worked with the council to shape the fund and will also help to decide who receives investment.

Businesses have until 12pm on Tuesday 30 September 2025 to apply for a repayable loan ranging from £20,000 to £500,000. They can be based outside of the borough – as long as they work with, or plan to work with young people in Camden.

We know lots of businesses do fantastic work to empower young people in Camden. Through Camden Community Wealth Fund’s Youth Fund, we want to help grow these businesses to achieve a more inclusive local economy for our young people now and in the future.

Young people are at the heart of this project, and it’s brilliant to work with the Youth Panel who have done incredible work to help shape the Youth Fund, and will play a crucial role in helping to choose which businesses we invest in.

In 2026, Camden Community Wealth Fund’s Diversity Fund will invest £2million in businesses run by a diverse group of people. Anyone who lives, works or studies in Camden over the age of 18 can now apply to be on the panel to shape the fund and help decide who receives investment.
