A healthy start for you and your baby
Did you know that if you are pregnant or a new mother you can get a free multi-vitamin supplement to help you and your baby to be healthy?
Healthy Start vitamins, which contain vitamin D and other important vitamins, are available for free to all pregnant women, new mums and those with children under the age of four in Camden.
Vitamin D plays an essential role in maintaining good health and helps to develop healthy teeth and bones.
We can get vitamin D from the sunshine and from some foods, but this is not always enough for children or pregnant women.
Healthy Start vitamins can be collected from 1a, Agar, Regent’s Park, Harmood and Kilburn Grange children’s centres and from Belsize Priory, Gospel Oak and Hunter Street health centres in Camden.
As well as free vitamins, if you receive income support and are pregnant, have children under the age of four, or are under 18 and pregnant, you may be eligible for free vouchers to spend on fruit and vegetables or fresh milk and formula.
