Wildwood Cafe in Camley Street Natural Park is open again

Wildwood Cafe in Camley Street Natural Park is back, serving fresh vegetarian hot and cold food, sandwiches, drinks and cakes.

The cafe is part of a unique closed-loop demonstration that combines community enterprise with urban agriculture and sustainable food waste management. Micro-scale anaerobic digestion turns food waste from the cafe into renewable biogas – a clean fuel used for cooking and heating water – and liquid fertiliser for use in on-site food production.

The cafe shows how organic resources can be managed locally to provide training, employment and educational opportunities. It also provides catering for group events, parties and meetings at our canal-side venue.

The cafe is open from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
