We are seeking your views on health and wellbeing

Camden’s Health and Wellbeing Board is seeking your views on what should be done to help people improve their health and wellbeing as part of its new three year strategy.

The Health and Wellbeing Board was formed two years ago and acts as a forum where leaders from across local health and social care work together to respond to the community’s needs and priorities.

It brings together partners including Councillors, directors, GPs and patients, with the aim of addressing the main health issues within the Borough.

In the last two years work has focused on helping people to maintain a healthy weight, helping families with a range of needs to access the services they need with more ease, and tackling alcohol misuse and its impact on health and the community.

The Board is currently working on a new strategy to run until 2017 and have identified the following key priorities:

  • Supporting everyone to live healthy lives
  • Supporting everyone to have good mental health and wellbeing
  • Continuing to strengthen the integration of health and social care.

The draft strategy includes details the ‘values’ the Board will encourage relevant organisations across Camden to adopt to ensure that improving health and wellbeing is at the heart of everything that they do.

They include focussing on prevention and early intervention and, working with people and communities to co-design services. We want your thoughts on the strategy. Your experiences and first-hand knowledge of services will help shape our health and wellbeing priorities for Camden over the next three years and will inform local commissioning decisions.

We are running an online questionnaire until Friday 02 January 2015 for you to share your views.

We would like to hear from you, so please visit wearecamden.org and complete the online questionnaire.
