Volunteer to help make history

We are looking for a team of volunteers to welcome and guide visitors at an Olympic qualification event in Camden.

On Saturday 21 May the Highgate Harriers Athletic Club will host the Night of the 10,000m PBs (personal bests), an Olympic qualification event which offers runners a chance to reach their personal bests for this distance. The first two British athletes to cross the finish line in Olympic qualifying times in both the men’s and women’s elite races will go on to represent the UK at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet new people, develop skills and give something back to the community. So, what better time to get involved than this unique opportunity to be a part on an Olympic event right here in Camden? Volunteers must be 16 or over and will receive full training. For more information and to register your interest, click here. The deadline to apply is Tuesday 10 May 2016.

The event will also incorporate the England Athletics 10,000m championships, include junior races from inter-London borough schools, and there will be a variety of entertainment for all ages on the day, along with food and drink stalls. Entrance to watch the event is free.
