Two weeks left to share your views on Camden’s green spaces

Tell us what you value most about Camden’s parks and open spaces and help us shape our future grounds maintenance service.

The contract which looks after our borough’s green spaces – including those around housing estates – is due to end in 2017, presenting a good opportunity to explore how these areas could be maintained differently and achieve financial savings.

We are starting to work on our procurement strategy for the next contract and we’re looking for your views to help inform our future priorities. We know from the residents’ survey that 80% of people are either very or fairly satisfied with our parks and open spaces, so we want to make sure that we continue to provide quality green spaces across the borough.

Help to shape the future service

We want your opinions on a range of ideas including:

• whether we should continue to lock our parks at night

• how we manage litter and waste in our green spaces

• whether we reduce how often we cut the grass.

You can find out more about what is included in the grounds maintenance service and complete our short survey at Camden.gov.uk/greenspaces

The survey closes on 30 October 2015. We will then use the feedback to help design the new way of delivering the service which will be presented to the Council’s Cabinet early next year.
