Thinking about adopting?

If you are thinking about adopting, why not come to our special information event next Thursday (20 October) from 6 to 8pm?

Held to coincide with Black History Month and National Adoption Week, the session at Hackney Picturehouse, 270 Mare St, London E8 1HE, is being hosted by Adoption North London - a consortium of six boroughs, including Camden Council, who work together to find loving homes for children in their care.

We particularly want to find new families for children of black Caribbean and black African background, including older children and siblings.

At the event you will be able to talk to adopters and social workers in an informal environment. There will also be a presentation to explain how the assessment process works.

Councillor Angela Mason CBE, Camden's Cabinet Member for Children, said: “Every child deserves a loving home. Adoption is challenging but hugely rewarding. If you have space in your heart to welcome a child into your family, we’d love to hear from you.”
