Night of the 10,000m Personal Bests

There’s still time to register to become part of a team of volunteers at an Olympic Games qualification event in Camden.

You could join a team of volunteers as a team member (over 16s) or team leader (over 18s) who will support at this event by welcoming and guiding visitors on the day. Volunteering is a great way to meet people and give something back to the community, so what better way to get involved than supporting at this Olympic event?

The Night of the 10,000m PBs (personal bests) will be hosted by the Highgate Harriers Athletics Club at Parliament Hill Athletics Track on Saturday 21 May. The day will include a series of races, including inter-borough school relay races and adult races where runners will attempt to achieve their personal best times for the 10,000 metres.

The last two races of the day will be reserved for elite athletes, who (provided they have achieved Olympic qualifying times) will have the chance to compete for a place in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There will also be a range of entertainment for all ages at the event, plus food and drink stalls. Entrance to the event is free.

The deadline to register your interest in volunteering at the Night of the 10,000m PBs has now been extended to Friday 13 May 2016. Read more about the event and find out details about volunteering on the day.
