New adult social care performance measures developed with residents

We’ve worked with residents to develop new ways of measuring adult social care in the borough.

We want to make sure we’re measuring the things that matter most to residents, and working together to help disabled and older people live well in Camden.

We spoke to residents, and colleagues in the voluntary and community sector, asking what a good life and living well in Camden means to them, and how we can tell adult social care is doing a good job.

Here some of the residents involved share their thoughts on the process.

Co-producing these new measures with residents is all part of our new approach to adult social care – building on strengths and putting residents more in control of their lives.

We’ll use what we’ve learned to improve adult social care in Camden, building on what works and identifying where we might want to do things differently.

Councillor Patricia Callaghan (Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Tackling Health Inequality and Promoting Independence) said:

“Hearing from our citizens is immensely important – it’s because of you that Camden is the special place it is.

“Having honest, ongoing conversations with residents about what matters to them is key to making sure we work closely together to build on their strengths and help them lead healthy, independent lives – one of the key ambitions of the Camden 2025 community vision.”
