Meet author S.J. Parris at Swiss Cottage Library as part of Cityread

This April, Camden libraries are once again taking part in Cityread, London’s annual celebration of literature and culture that aims to bring reading to life for residents, workers and visitors.

At the heart of the Cityread festival this year is the novel Prophecy by S. J. Parris, a gripping Elizabethan spy thriller set in London 1583. You will have the chance to meet the bestselling author and hear about her historical thriller series on Wednesday 5 April at Swiss Cottage library.

Also as part of Cityread, Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre will be hosting a talk on ‘Elizabethan Camden’ on Tuesday 11 April at 7.15pm. A limited number of copies of Prophecy will be given away on the night.

In addition, from 1 April, each of Camden’s nine libraries will have a limited number of free copies of Prophecy to give away on a first come, first served basis as well as a curated collection of books to borrow, reflecting the theme of the Cityread. Digital versions of the thriller will also be available at https://camdenlibrary.overdrive.com/.
