Lights, camera, action - film-making opportunity for local women

If you are a local woman aged 18 plus who is interested in the arts, media or creative industries and wants to broaden your skills, you can apply now to join our FREE four to five week film-making course.

We are seeking applications for this training opportunity, starting in January, from women who are:

  • working or studying in Camden, or
  • not working and not in education or training but living in Camden
  • aged 18 or over
  • contemplating a career in the arts, media or creative sectors, or
  • already working in these sectors but needing to broaden their skills and boost their CV and portfolio
  • keen to work with a group of Camden women and a professional film-maker to make a short film
  • can commit a certain number of hours over four to five weeks to take part in this project.

The film will be about four to five minutes long and will explore barriers you may have encountered in working or trying to work in the arts, media or creative industries.

As well as offering professional training, we will link you with a range of colleges and careers advice to help you realise your aspirations.

We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who are from a black or other minority ethnic background.
