A day in the life of a Camden carer

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a carer? On Wednesday 10 June we’ll be live tweeting updates from a day in the life of a Camden carer.

Follow @camdentalking from 8am and look for the hashtag #carerlife to discover what day to day life is like, the challenges ordinary life can present and the dilemmas that can occur.

The twitter takeover is part of Carer’s Week (8 to 14 June) – a week of events to celebrate the 17,000 people who provide unpaid care and support for our most vulnerable residents.

What’s happening and how can I get involved?

Camden Carers Service are holding a series of special events throughout the week – designed to offer carers a break, give them an opportunity to find out about the support available to them and meet other carers.

There will be performances and theatre, poetry and writing, arts and crafts, walks and picnics - as well as free NHS Health Checks and a range of information and advice.

All events are free to carers and those they provide support to.

If you or someone you know is a carer, why not book your place at one of the following free events? Click the link or visit Love Camden to find out more.
