Join together and celebrate summer

This summer, discover our spectacular schedule of events and activities taking place across the borough. The programme is jam-packed with free and low-cost things to do, which showcase the very best of Camden.

With only one week left until the summer holidays, we’ve made it easy to find something for everyone, dividing our events into six ‘discover’ categories, with a diverse selection for you to explore.

If you’re looking for inspiration, arts and culture then you can Discover a new world at one of many exhibitions and talks taking place at our libraries, museums and galleries. The Summer Reading Challenge begins this Saturday 16 July, so drop into your local library to sign up.

Discover a new way to get active through sport and physical activity sessions that are both active and fun. Why not have a go at some new sports and enjoy the entertainment at the free Give it a Go! Festival this Sunday 17 July at Parliament Hill Fields from 1 to 5pm?

There are also plenty of community festivals and family fun days to help you soak up the summer atmosphere and Discover a new delight. Alternatively, you can Discover a new talent at one of our creative workshops, including drama sessions, art classes and more.

Love Parks week starts tomorrow, so if you’d rather stay closer to home you can Discover what’s on your doorstep in the dozens of parks and open spaces around the borough.

Camden Sentido

We have also partnered with Camden Market to create a special series of events to celebrate the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Camden Sentido (Portuguese for ‘the senses') aims to capture the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Camden and Brazil and the feelings that connect them. Join together with people from across the community to transform recycled paper into beautiful flowers at a Project Yemanja workshop this Sunday 17 July at 12pm at Pancras Square Library. Or join in with live graffiti, music and Brazilian food at with Mais Um Discos at Camden Market on 4 August from 6pm.

There’s something for everyone, so get in the summer spirit and make it one to remember.
