Help us tackle poor air quality: Camden Air Quality Conference 2016

On Wednesday 2 November we’re inviting local residents, students, businesses, public services and community organisations to come together at our free air quality conference and take action to improve the air we breathe.

Air pollution has a major impact on all of us. Nearly 9,500 people die every year in London as a result of poor air quality and action must be taken to change this. At this event you will hear more about Camden Council’s pledge to improve local air quality and learn how you can work with us to make a real difference. Joint action is needed not just at a local level, but at regional and national level as well. Hear our speakers discussing the opportunities and constraints to tackling the issue of air quality in Camden. Then join us for a series of breakout sessions where you can share your ideas, however big or small, on how we can tackle this problem together.

Agenda

6 to 7pm: Setting the scene

Hear from our speakers on what's been achieved so far and where action is needed next to improve the air we breathe.

· Keir Starmer MP, member of parliament for Holborn and St Pancras

· Elliot Treharne, Air Quality Manager at the GLA

7 to 8pm: Breakout sessions

A series of breakout sessions where we want to hear from you, all ideas are welcome on how we can tackle the problem of air pollution together.
