Have your say on our new transport strategy

Join us on 4 July as we discuss Camden’s key transport challenges and how to address them

The Mayor of London has published his new transport strategy which aims to transform London's streets, improve public transport and create opportunities for new homes and jobs. We have our own strategy that aligns with the Mayor’s vision and addresses key local challenges. We created our first borough strategy in 2011. Since then Camden, along with the rest of London, has changed significantly. We’re therefore updating our own Camden Transport Strategy (CTS) as part of the Local Implementation Plan (LIP), which all boroughs are statutorily required to produce and submit to Transport for London to demonstrate how they will help deliver the Mayor’s strategy locally alongside their own priorities.

Have your say

To make sure our new strategy reflects our residents’ needs and priorities we are inviting you to come along to the Friends House on Euston Road on 4 July from 6.30 to 9.30pm. You will have the opportunity to find out more about the strategy and give your feedback. Camden’s Cabinet Member for Improving Camden’s Environment, Councillor Adam Harrison, will be there to introduce our work so far on the emerging Camden Transport Strategy and outline the transport challenges the borough is facing. This will be followed by a question and answer and group discussion sessions in which you will get the opportunity to share ideas to help in the development of the new CTS. Your input will help to shape the final draft of the new strategy before the formal consultation period, which will run during November and December 2018 and you will be able to make further comments during this time.

You can register your attendance at the event here Register to attend.

Our current strategy

We undertook an extensive consultation to produce our 2011 transport strategy. The strategy outlines the variety of challenges we face and outlines a range of policies and actions to address them.
