Have your say on our gambling policy

We’re consulting on proposed changes to our gambling policy.

The gambling policy enables us to regulate gambling and to minimise the risk of gambling related harm to our residents and visitors. It sets out how we expect all gambling premises in Camden to operate when providing gambling facilities such as betting services or gaming machines.

We want to ensure that Camden offers vibrant cultural and leisure activities, but we also need to focus on Camden Plan priorities for reducing crime and keeping the borough a safe and attractive place to live and visit.

The changes we are proposing and which we would like your feedback on are:

  • updated references to changes in the law and national guidance
  • a new local area profile which identifies the types of people most at risk of gambling related harm and where they are located in Camden
  • a new area setting out the requirement on gambling operators to produce risk assessments
  • a range of updates to existing chapters.

The consultation is open until 1 September 2017. If you’d like to look at the proposals and take part in it, please visit camden.gov.uk/gamblingconsultation.
