Get your dog microchipped for free

From 6 April 2016 it becomes law to have your dog microchipped – join us on Wednesday 3 February in Gospel Oak to have it done for free.

The new law requires all dogs over the age of eight weeks to be fitted with microchips coded with owners contact details. Owners who do not have their dogs microchipped could face fines of up to £500.

To help, we’ve teamed up with the Mayhew Animal Home to offer free microchipping while you wait – giving you peace of mind that should they be lost or stolen you’re more likely to get them back safely.

To get yours chipped, simply pop down with your dog to Grafton Road (opposite Barrington Close) in Gospel Oak from 11am – 3pm.

The service is being offered as part of our ‘Love your dog, love your neighbourhood’ day, which will help you to find out how to take care of your dog, be more knowledge about them and learn out about Camden’s dog control orders.

As well as free microchipping, on the day The Dog Hub is offering:

  • free dog handling training sessions
  • free rosettes and certificates for participants
  • free dog mess bags
  • advice for anyone who has experienced problems with dogs.

If you can’t attend, please contact your local vet about microchipping.
