Get active in Camden with We Can Move

Today (Monday 17 June) Camden is launching We Can Move, a new campaign to celebrate all the inspiring ways people in the borough are fitting movement into their daily lives.

Being active doesn’t have to mean joining a gym or training for a 10k, there are lots of ways to feel healthier and happier by moving a bit more each day.

Moving more has huge benefits for our mental and physical wellbeing and there are lots of fun activities going on across Camden that you can get involved in, whatever your age or ability. From walking groups and gardening sessions to dance classes and swimming for families.

You can find local activities and tips on how to move more at wecanmove.co.uk.

As part of We Can Move we are celebrating Camden groups, organisations and people who are making a difference by inspiring others to move more. You can read our We Can Move Champions’ stories on our website. We know that there are lots more stories to tell so please get in touch if you’d like to nominate yourself or someone else to be featured as We Can Move Champion.

If you’re getting involved in activities and moving more in Camden this summer, make sure you share your pictures and stories on social media with #WeCanMove

I hope as many local groups and residents as possible get involved in this exciting new campaign which celebrates all the ways that you can get active in Camden. We know there are lots of fun activities that people of all ages, including younger and older residents, can get involved in to help them move more and meet new people. This community campaign will help encourage residents to take advantage of everything that’s on offer in their local area.
