Free flu vaccination: have you had yours?

Don't put off getting the flu vaccination – if you're eligible, get it now. It's free because you need it.

GPs in Camden are urging local people at risk of complications from flu to get their free flu vaccination this winter.

Some people, due to age or a medical condition, are at greater risk of severe illness if they catch flu. This can result in hospitalisation and, in the most serious cases, even death.

If you’re at greater risk you can get a free flu vaccination at your GP surgery. It’s safe, effective and the best possible protection against an unpredictable virus.

You can get a free flu jab if you are:

• a health professional
• aged 65 and older
• pregnant (it’s safe at all stages of pregnancy)
• a carer (paid and unpaid)

Children aged two, three and four or in school years 1 and 2 can also get a free nasal spray vaccination – it’s quick, painless and effective
