Come and see town hall refurbishment plans

Camden residents and business can come and see our proposals for refurbishing Camden Town Hall and have their say at three exhibitions this September.

We want to sensitively restore and revitalise the historic town hall to provide modernised spaces for council functions and public services while also creating spaces for commercial organisations and start-up businesses. Camden Council will continue to retain the freehold of the building.

At the exhibition residents and businesses will be able to meet us and our project manager Lendlease’s project team, ask any questions and give their feedback before a planning application is submitted in November 2018.

The exhibitions will be held at Camden Town Hall, Judd Street, WC1H 9JE on:

  • Wednesday 19 September, 4pm-8pm

  • Thursday 20 September, 4pm-8pm

  • Saturday 21 September, 10am-2pm

Councillor Richard Olszewski, Cabinet Member for Finance and Transformation at Camden Council, said: “We are investing in Camden Town Hall so it can remain at the heart of democracy in Camden.

“The refurbishment will update the whole building while preserving its history, improving its sustainability, reducing running costs and transforming the way we use the space. I encourage residents and businesses to come along and see the plans and have their say.”

We hope to see you there. You can read more about the plans on our town hall pages and email us if you have any questions about the proposals or the consultation process, please contact us at [email protected]
