Camden Sentido launches

Camden meets Brazil in a special series of events for this year's summer programme.

To celebrate the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Paralympics and the São Paulo Art Biennale arts programme, we have created a series of events in partnership with Camden Market. Camden Sentido – sentidos means ‘senses’ in Portuguese – forms part of our forthcoming summer programme and will celebrate all things Brazilian, linking the spirits of Camden and Brazil through the sounds, smells, tastes, sights and feelings that connect them.

The events will showcase the similarities of ‘place’ between Camden and Brazil, including in street culture, live music, graffiti and street food, and will highlight the best of the public art in the borough.

Events will include performance-led art, live gigs, talks, exhibitions and workshops by partners including Central Saint Martins, Wembley to Soweto Foundation, Mais Um Disco, Walls on Walls, Argent and Camden Tour Guides. Camden Sentido will also produce projects in partnership with Roundhouse, Latitude, PIPA and Frieze London.

Camden Sentido kicks off with a series of talks by art expert and writer Kiki Mazzunchelli today (9 June) at 12pm with the second set of talks taking place tomorrow (10 June). Book your free tickets to the events, which will be hosted at The Provender Building, Stables Market, at Camden Market.
