Camden Sentido and summer celebrations continue

With the summer in full swing there’s still plenty to discover from our superb schedule of free and low cost events.

It’s been a busy few weeks with lots to get you into the Sentido spirit, and this week will be no exception. We’ve made it easy to find something for everyone, dividing events into six ‘discover’ categories, with a diverse selection for you to explore.

Discover a new delight on Saturday with a bouncy castle, food, games and more, at King’s Cross family fun day. The excitement starts at Judd Street Open Space from 2pm so don’t miss out!

Artists of all ages can Discover a new talent and see their work hung at Swiss Cottage Gallery’s annual Open Open exhibition, Sunday 31 July.

Join a health walk and talk at Alexandra Road Park and feel fitter and healthier whilst you Discover what’s on your doorstep. Alternatively you can Discover a new way to get active at one of Camden’s many leisure centres, pools and brand new outdoor gyms.

If you’re looking for inspiration, arts and culture then you can Discover a new world at one of many exhibitions and talks taking place at our museums and galleries. This week Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre offer the chance to go back in time and experience Camden in Shakespeare’s Day.

Camden Sentido

We have partnered with Camden Market to create a special series of events to celebrate the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Camden Sentido (Portuguese for ‘the senses') aims to capture the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Camden and Brazil and the feelings that connect them. This week join a spectacular celebration to mark the start of the games as Mais Um Discos present Som Do Sentido. Come along and enjoy music from leading Brazilian act Da Lata, street art by SNH Collective and a world of South American flavours from KERB street food. It all kicks off at 6pm, with Brazilian record label Mais Um Discos spinning tunes until late.

There’s something for everyone, so get in the summer spirit and make it one to remember.
