Camden Giving funding available for community groups

Applications are now invited from community groups in Camden for a share of Camden Giving’s KX Fund.

Camden Giving is a new way for everyone in the borough to play a part in making Camden a fairer place for people to live and work. This fund, the first to launch as part of the new initiative, is a result of the partnership between Camden Giving, the King’s Cross Development and Camden Council.

Natasha Friend, Director Camden Giving said:

"Camden Giving is working with partners from businesses, charities and the public sector. The collective impact of these groups working together will be really significant."

Councillor Jonathan Simpson, Cabinet Member for Community Safety and the Voluntary Sector
“Camden Giving is an exciting new initiative; set up to encourage local fundraising for local causes.

“Its goal is to make Camden a fairer and more inclusive place to live and work. We aim to establish a successful fundraising vehicle, as well as a shared vision for the future that includes increasing our already well established culture of community activism and volunteering, along with creating new opportunities for the community to collaborate on a wide range of projects together.”

Applications are now welcomed from projects and activities that bring communities together and improve the quality of life for people who live or work in the borough during the development of the King’s Cross area.

Grants from £200 to £10,000 are available and interested groups are encouraged to apply. The deadline for completed applications is 28 April 2017. For more information visit the Camden Giving website.
