Camden deaf awareness day

Join us for our first deaf awareness day – to promote the positive aspects of deafness and find out more about the support available to deaf residents.

The event will take place on Tuesday 12 May 2015 at the Camden Centre, Bidborough Street, WC1H 9AU. Drop in any time between 9am and 4pm.

It’s a chance to exchange stories, experiences and ideas, and think about how we can work better together to meet the needs of our Deaf, deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind residents.

The day will include guest speakers, a question and answer session with staff and local organisations, plus group discussions and information sharing.

More than 30 local and national organisations will also be at the event to provide information and advice.

Communication support will be provided by British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters, lip-speakers, deafblind interpreters, speech to text and a T-loop system.
