Active for All: Give it a Go!

Children and young people with disabilities and their families are invited to come along and try out a fantastic range of inclusive activities and sports at Talacre Sports Centre on Saturday 6 June.

Activities on offer include adapted cycling, archery, athletics, football, cricket, dance, badminton, boccia, gymnastics, trampolining, new age kurling, soft play and arts and crafts.

Councillor Abdul Hai, Cabinet Member for Customers, Communities and Culture said: “This annual day is free and participants will have an opportunity to try activities including adapted cycling, archery and arts and crafts."

“The day has previously proven very popular, attracting around 300 attendees of all ages and provides disabled children and their families a chance to learn more about inclusive activities and where they can go in Camden to get involved.”

Inspired by Pro-Active Camden, Camden’s partnership for sport and physical activity, the event is being run as a partnership between Camden’s Sport and Physical Activity Service and Better (GLL). Better (GLL) are working in partnership with Camden Council to lead the development of the provision of disability sports in the borough until 2020.

This year’s event takes place on Saturday 6 June from 11.30am to 4pm at Talacre Community Sports Centre, Dalby Street, NW5 3AF.
